Ed Danaher


AMS Director, Ed Danaher, has over 17 years’ experience as an archaeologist and project manager working on large-scale infrastructural and commercial projects throughout Britain and Ireland from archaeological assessment, design of fieldwork strategies to management of archaeological fieldwork. He has extensive experience of providing archaeological technical advice on behalf of clients across a wide range of projects. He also has vast experience as a site director and has carried out over 80 archaeological assessments and excavations and has written reports for each, while he has also managed many large-scale archaeological projects on behalf of an archaeological contractor. Ed spent four years as a project archaeologist with the National Roads Authority managing major public contracts in Ireland, while he has also spent numerous years with both Jacobs UK Ltd and Mouchel Consulting overseeing various development projects throughout Britain. He is a full member of the Chartered Institute for Archaeologists (MCIfA) and Institute of Archaeologists of Ireland (MIAI).
