Ger has almost 20 years’ experience in all aspects of archaeological research, fieldwork and excavation, working in both academic and commercial sectors. He has particular expertise in the design, implementation and management of geophysical survey projects, having undertaken surveys at a wide variety of sites in Ireland and abroad since 2002. He was Assistant Project Director on The Discovery Programme’s Late Iron Age and ‘Roman’ Ireland’ project (2011–2015) and was appointed Principal Surveyor on the Monastic Ireland Project in 2015.
