Human Resources Officer

Hybrid / Head Office – Kilrush, Co. Clare


You will get involved in all aspects of the employee life cycle: recruiting, onboarding, reviewing performance, training staff, updating Handbook and policy, be up to date with legislation and managing exits from the company.

This is a part-time role requiring 20-25 hours per week.


  • Management of all HR Administration, HR reporting, HR inbox and HR systems.
  • Maintain HR records for all employees – training, sick leave, holidays, etc. Indicate to managers if there are any issues or gaps in training and performance reviews, using the information and any reports you have compiled.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all HR related queries, escalating to the management as required.
  • Provide training to employees in various HR subjects and give support to employees/managers through HR processes.
  • Support in overall employee satisfaction by answering employee requests and questions in a timely manner.
  • Assist the company in the continuous development and execution of strategic HR initiatives and on the implementation of HR policies and Handbook.
  • Keep up to date on employment law matters and updating the employee handbook accordingly.


  • Experience working in Human Resources is essential. The ideal candidate will have 3 – 4 years’ experience working in a HR Generalist role.
  • A primary degree in Human Resources Management or a related field such as business, management, or social sciences.
  • Proficiency in data management and reporting, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of information.
  • Be comfortable with HR advisory and process management.
  • Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
